Very early ideas on potential design direction and visual approach for the Dimsum booklet. Not quite happy with any of these really, I didn't want to follow the conventional path of food related projects by plastering the design with images and photos of the dishes, instead I want to keep the audience intrigued by it therefore have opted to keep it type driven with subtle elements of images incorporated into the design. Not really sure which (if any) to develop from here, but atleast it's a start. I'm thinking of working on the content first and hopefully that would inform the cover design.
Currently, I'm thinking about changing the format of the booklet to a square format, this would probably work better for the content and overall layout, but will have to test this out.
